Boiler - in the bathroom behind the sauna

If there is no hot water in the bathroom (behind the sauna), please turn on the boiler by turning the dial to adjust the temperature. The hot water will be ready for use in about 2 hours.

Fuses

When the power goes out, flip the breaker. Either in the indoor fuse box in the hallway opposite the toilet or in the box located outside by the parking lot - “1” the sauna and bathroom breaker by the sauna, “2” the main breaker of the cottage

Musical instruments

In the common room you will also find musical instruments (guitar and soprano ukulele), which are freely available. Please put them back in their original place before you leave.

Thermostat

The temperature in the cottage is regulated by a thermostat and headers on individual radiators. The thermostat is located in the corner room on the wall. The temperature is set by a rotary dial. If other thermostat functions appear on the display, press the ‘HOUSE’ symbol to return you to the main menu to set the temperature.

As energy is expensive nowadays, we recommend lowering the temperature on the thermostat to e.g. 15 °C if you leave the cottage for a longer period of time. If you heat the lounge with a stove, turn off the radiators. We recommend turning the radiators on in rooms where no one is present. The hot water is heated by a gas boiler, saving hot water will also reduce the energy bill.

Tiled stove

The AKU 60 stove is regulated by a lever as shown in the picture above. When heating, extend the lever and turn it to the left. In this position, the most primary air flows into the stove. After heating, turn the lever to the right, this provides secondary and tertiary combustion which is the most efficient for operation and also self-cleans the windscreen. Extending and retracting the lever regulates the power.

Ignition: a cold stove needs a lot of thin chips to light it. Put 2 logs in the bottom of the fireplace, preferably with cardboard, and then put some softwood chips, about 2 cm thick, on top of them, interspersed with paper. It is a good idea to use about a bucket of wood chips for a comfortable fire. Then just light it, close the door, slide the air control out towards you and turn it to the left, and wait about 20 minutes for the stove to heat up. Do not open the stove during this time or smoke will enter the room.
