Chachata is located in the heart of the Jeseníky Mountains, the most popular tourist and recreational area, in a quiet part of the village of Nová Ves, where lovers of peace will come into their own. The place offers various activities such as mountain hikes and exploring natural attractions, but also enjoying local gastronomy or relaxing in the spa.

Monumental trees in the region

There are more than 20 memorial trees in Nová Ves. One of them, a 300-year-old chestnut tree, is right in front of the cottage. The others can be an interesting destination for your trips to the surroundings.        TREES

Restaurant Na Vyhlídce in Nová Ves

In the upper part of the village you will find a cosy restaurant with great food. It is 30 minutes walk from the cottage.

Priessnitz spa

is located in the birthplace of V. Prießnitz, not far from the town of Jeseník. Here you can take a detailed look into the secrets of 19th-century healing methods in BALNEOPARKU

Hiking trip to Alfrédka

The journey to the Alfrédka hut itself takes approximately 3 hours. The hiking trail leads mostly uphill through the beautiful area of the Jeseníky Mountains. Summer activities

Bicycle park

Bikepark Koprivná offers 6 trails of total length 12 km. Trails are passable for the smallest and the most ageless.

 

 

Winter activities

Jeseníky is a paradise for skiers and cross-country skiers of all categories and types. It is 10 km from Chachata to one of the largest ski resorts in the Jeseníky Mountains, and 6.2 km to the nearest ski lift - Certak. Chachata stands in the middle of every cross-country skier's dream - it is only 670 m to the nearest trailhead of the Jesenická magistrála. The ski season on Praděd is usually until May.

The highest ski resort

The Ovčárna area around Praděd is often referred to as the "Moravian Glacier" because it is the highest ski resort in the Czech Republic. The ski resort, at an altitude of 1,235 to 1,445 meters above sea level, attracts visitors with its excellent snow conditions and the beauty of the surrounding nature. The ski season usually begins at the end of October and ends at the beginning of May.
